The Story So Far

Three friends, growing tired with their hiatus from being in bands and the lack of new material on the music scene, got back together to write and create music again. With their old rehearsal room booked but with no clear direction and no vocalist a friend who had sung with them briefly years ago was suggested. With a singer now on board, the four agreed that their combined talent and affinity had the potential to offer something extraordinary to the contemporary music listening public. So in Spring 2007 the marvel that was Saevio came into being.

Nearly two years of song writing, steadfast promotion and auspicious gigging later, Saevio had made an impression with London promoters, achieved a small but loyal fanbase and sailed through the first round of the Surface Unsigned Festival 2009. However change was brewing. In the Winter of 2008 the drummer left permanently and was replaced with the young prodigy Lee Peacock formerly of 'Narkan'. Saevio's transformation was completed by the spring of 2009 when Mike Lench returned to vocal duty and cemented the foundations that have become the magnus opus of Saevio.

With the finely honed and improved line-up complete, Saevio took the Surface Unsigned Festival by storm and powered their way to the regional finals at 'The Dome' in Tufnell Park. Even with a passionate, powerful, well received clinical performance, Saevio were unable to secure a position in the national final. Saevio emerged from the experience with a renewed sense of optimism and a feeling that anything was now possible. The following four months resulted in writing their most inspired and electrifying material to date whilst continuing to gig in and around the Camden area. Interest from Soho management have given them a taste of things to come, and whilst the company missed an opportunity, Saevio await a promising 2010 with slots already secured at Cafe 1001 and The Borderline.

Pulling together a vast range of influences including: Tool, Led Zeppelin, Muse, Pearl Jam, The Mars Volta, Alice In Chains, The Prodigy, The Music, Sneaker Pimps, Avenged Sevenfold, NIN, Incubus, Kasabian and The Smashing Pumpkins, Saevio have combined the gritty sounds of grunge, the dynamism and timing of dance and set it against a bleak industrial landscape. A great deal of care and attention goes into each song written as Saevio feel they have a unique story to tell every time. Saevio's theory is to let the music and lyrics entwine with each other; when they feel a guitar part or certain beat compliments or accents a particular emotion or feeling they begin to believe something special is arising.

In terms of aspirations Saevio believe that securing a record/management deal is of the upmost importance; with the promotional and recording benefits attached Saevio are sure their full potential would be realised by a wider audience. Saevio are also determined to continue enjoying the addictive nature of playing live music.....it's where it all started after all.
